More experience before you tackle everything alone

Pass Plus is practical post-test training designed to broaden your experience and help you drive more safely in situations that may not have featured much in normal lessons.

It is most useful to new drivers in the first year after passing, although it can be taken at any time. Adrian is a DVSA Pass Plus registered approved driving instructor.

Town driving

Build judgement around junctions, traffic, pedestrians, parked vehicles and busy urban roads.

All-weather driving

Develop safer planning for reduced visibility, wet roads and changing grip or stopping distances.

Rural roads

Work on bends, speed choice, limited views, meeting traffic and reading the road much further ahead.

Night driving

Improve observation, lighting use and hazard awareness when visibility and visual cues change after dark.

Dual carriageways

Practise joining, overtaking, lane discipline, safe following distances and leaving at higher speeds.

Motorways

Gain supervised experience of slip roads, lane choice, signs, spacing, overtaking and motorway planning.

At least 6 hoursPass Plus covers six modules and takes a minimum of six hours.

No final testYou are assessed throughout the course and need to reach the required standard in every module.
